ABOUT MADELEINE JONES
(She, her, hers)
Madeleine is a theater-maker and filmmaker who grew up in the aisles and on the stage of a university theater. She has an interest in representing women-based stories as well as exploring the divinity of storytelling.
​
Weaving narratives with interdisciplinary skills, she holds a BA in Theater with a Musical Theater Focus, Dance Minor and certificate in Intermediate - Low German from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and an MA in Directing Film from MET Film School Berlin. With a good deal of teaching artist experience behind this, her works are playful yet profound; nurturing what can be when we believe in ourselves. As Patrick McCreary, the technical director of Madeleine's childhood, said, "You matter more than any set piece." .

She also was one of the Founders of Elsewhere Theatre, formerly acting as the Literary Director- focusing in the dramaturgy for sensitive pieces, and is still a Teaching Artist/Director with Footlight Players as well as Indiana Junior High School, Fine Art Assistant Manager for The Artists Hand Gallery, and an active member with the Indiana Arts Council. All the meanwhile she organizes the creation of new films, directing and producing with her Beyond Us Film Team.
